Repeat Prescriptions

If you are registered for online services you can order via the link at the top of this page.

The Online Services system remembers which medications you are on and makes requesting repeat prescriptions faster and easier. You can register by clicking here.

If you do not have a Patient Access account  you can use the online form to the right, or tear off the repeat slip from your previous prescription and tick the items required, this can be posted in the black post box at the front of the building.

It will take 48 hours to process your prescription at the practice, but some pharmacists are asking to allow a further 2 working days before collecting your prescription from your nominated pharmacy. Therefore please hand in your prescription request at least 7 days before it runs out.

As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:

  • coughs
  • colds
  • sore throats
  • tummy trouble
  • aches and pains

They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.

Prescription Charges

These charges apply in England only.   In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.

  • Prescription (per item): £9.65
  • 3-month PPC: £31.25
  • 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £111.60

If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 15 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.

Electronic Prescribing Service

This practice is set up for the electronic prescription service.

This means that for most patients we can send your prescription to your chosen chemist directly saving you having to come down to the surgery.

To get your prescription sent to your chosen pharmacy you will have to ask reception to sign up.
